About Narita Airport Access Navigation
Welcome! To Narita Airport Access Navigation

◆What is Narita Airport Access Navigation?
“Narita Airport Access Navigation (referred to below as “this service”)” is a guidance service that provides transfer routes and travel times between Narita Airport and a boarding point (station, bus stop, major hotel, landmark) or alighting point (station, bus stop, major hotel, landmark) input by the customer, based on actual timetables (or required travel times) and service information.
To use this service, first read and agree to the “Precautions for Using This Service”, then put it to work for safe and comfortable trip planning.

◆Using This Service
These are requests and precautions related to using this service. Be sure to read them before using this service.

<An Explanation of Transfer Guidance>
This service provides transfer routes and travel times between Narita Airport and a boarding point or alighting point input by the customer.
If you plan to fly, boarding procedures require time, so leave with plenty of time to spare. However, please note that trains and buses may not always run as scheduled, due to factors such as traffic conditions.
When traveling to or from Terminal 3 by rail, the nearest station is Airport Terminal 2 Station (for Terminals 2 and 3). Travel between Airport Terminal 2 Station and Terminal 3 on foot or take the free shuttle bus (direct service).
  1. Covered routes
  2.   The rail routes that can be used with this service are all JR, private rail, and subway routes nationwide, and the main express bus routes to and from Narita Airport. However, please note that some routes are not covered by guidance in all sections. Guidance to flights covers routes linking major domestic airports, other than those to and from minor islands.

  3. Points to Note About the Program and Data
  4.   This service is provided with technology by Hitachi Systems, Ltd. We pay close attention to the transfer guidance program and data provided, but we are unable to guarantee the integrity of guidance results and data, including whether guidance provides the fastest, cheapest, or shortest route between the boarding point and the alighting point. Results do not take into account service disruptions due to factors such as inconsistent transfer times, waits for transfers between last trains, the influence of special trains scheduled for events, accidents, weather conditions, and traffic conditions. Take this point into consideration, and use the results as guidelines.
We are unable to accept any liability whatsoever for damages or losses incurred through the use of this service. Please note this point in advance.

  5. Buses
  6.   Routes suggested by this service may include bus routes. Note that bus departure and arrival times may vary due to traffic conditions and flight departure and arrival times.
Required journey times may also be changed by road conditions and other factors. Exercise particular care when using buses.

  7. Fare Guidance
  8.   The fare for each route is calculated on the basis of passenger fare tables published by each company, and regular fares for flights. While we are confident of the accuracy of these fares, some discounts and other changes may not be covered, so stated fares should be treated as guideline figures.
Also, we are unable to provide fare guidance that takes into account the use of season tickets. Note that additional charges may be required, such as seat reservation tickets for express and liner trains, and sleeper and standing room express tickets for sleeper trains. Air fares do not take into account advance-sale and early-sale fares, etc.

  9. Search Condition Setting
  10. (1) To the airport/ From the airport
Select either “To the airport” or “From the airport”. If you selected “To the airport”, search condition input items are displayed for Narita Airport is the destination. If you selected “From the airport”, items are displayed with it is the departure point.
    (2) Departure point/ destinations
Input the departure point and destination to search for. You can input a station name, express bus stop name, landmark name, or hotel name. You can input alphabet, hiragana, katakana, or kanji characters from the keyboard. If the station name (including airport name etc.) is unclear, you can input the first few characters of the name, to display a refined list of matching names at the bottom of the text box. Select the right station name from the list.
    (3) Transit points
You can only input a station name or express bus stop.
    (4) Date/ time
Select the date and time of departure, or of arrival, from the pulldown menus.
    (5) Type
Select either “Departure” or “Arrival”. If you select departure, guidance will provide the transfer route that has the latest departure after the specified time, and the earliest arrival. If you select arrival, guidance will provide the transfer route that arrives at or before the specified time, and allows the latest departure.
    (6) Searches
The following two types of route search are available.
    ■ “Route search”
Guidance provides routes based on standard values for walking speeds and transfer times while moving around (guideline times for a man in his 30s, walking normally).
    ■ “Search for a leisurely route”
This search allows more time than a normal route search, or it can prioritize routes with fewer transfers. It is convenient when carrying bulky luggage, when moving through an unfamiliar area for the first time, and similar occasions.
    (7) Fares
This setting can be switched between “Ticket” (prioritize ticket fares) or “IC” (prioritize IC card fares). Select the preferred fare type. (“IC” is the standard setting)
    * While we are confident that our data preparation for IC card fares is correct, it is possible for the actual fare to differ from the fare calculated using this service, depending on the search conditions. Use the results as reference values.
    (8) Routes
Select the modes of transport to use in the proposed transfer routes.
You can specify whether or not to use each of flight/ Shinkansen/ Nozomi, Mizuho, Hayabusa/ paid limited express/ paid express/ liner/ airport link bus/ walk/ sleeper limited express/ sleeper express/ and ordinary train. Uncheck the check boxes for transport modes that you do not want to use. This allows the system to offer transfer routes that better suit your needs. Even if you have uncheck the check boxes for a transport mode that you do not want to use, that mode may still be included in route guidance, depending on the search conditions.
    * The “Shinkansen” condition refers to shinkansen other than “Nozomi, Mizuho, Hayabusa”.
    (9) Display order
Determine the display order for search results.
Select between time required, number of transfers, and price as the display order, from the pulldown menus. If order of time required is selected, the search results are sorted and displayed in order of speed. If order of number of transfers is selected, the search results are sorted and displayed in order of how few transfers they require. If order of price is selected, the search results are sorted and displayed in order of how little they cost.

  11. Search results
  12. (1) Fares and fees
The departure and arrival times and fares for transfer guidance are handled as follows:

    - When using the Tokaido or Sanyo Shinkansen lines on a ticket starting and ending within Kobe and alighting at Shin-Kobe, Sannomiya, Motomachi, and Shin-Nagata stations.
    (d) Fare calculations that involve passing through the same station twice are not supported. (f) Fares between adjacent stations of Fukuoka City Transportation Bureau are displayed at the “Otonari Kippu” (Next-door Ticket) rate of Y100. Please pay attention to the following points:
    - Riding beyond the route covered by a season ticket is not covered for tickets linking between JR Kyushu and Nishitetsu.

    - No fee is required for the Keikyu “Keikyu Wing” when boarding between Kamiōoka and Misakiguchi stations.

    (3) Flight fares
    (a) Flight fares in this service are “regular adult fares”, except when flying with LCCs (Low-Cost Carriers).
    (b) Fares for LCCs (Low-Cost Carriers) are displayed with the necessary surcharges added to the maximum value of each company’s regular fare. Actual fares vary according to when they are purchased.
