Requests and Precautions Concerning the Use of This Services (terms of service)


Article 1  Use of This Service
  In these terms of service, the term “The Service” refers to the group of services comprising the website, “Narita Airport Access Navigation” at the URL “
http://access.narita-airport.jp/” provided by Narita International Airport Corporation (hereinafter referred to below as “The Company”) on the Internet. Use of The Service is conditional upon reading and agreeing to these terms of service. Furthermore, use of The Service is deemed to indicate agreement to these terms and conditions.

Article 2  Service Structure, and Conditions of Use
  Use of The Service is free of charge. However, the user is responsible for all communications fees and Internet provider fees associated with the use of The Service, and for the computer, modem, cellular terminals, and other peripherals and software etc. used to connect to The Service website.

Article 3 Responsibilities and Obligations of the User
(1) The terms and conditions, all information posted by The Company on The Service site relating to The Service and notices, etc. communicated to users are to be regarded as part of the terms of service and shall be adhered to in full by the user. In the event that the content of any such notices etc. contravenes or contradicts these terms of service, the terms of service shall be applied with priority.
(2) The user should exercise discretion concerning the accuracy, reliability, safety, completeness, value, and timeliness of The Services, and suitability for use in accordance with the specific objectives of the user.
(3) In the event that the user is subject to any inquiry, protest, claim, or litigation from any third party, in Japan or overseas, concerning the use of The Service, the user shall be responsible for, and bear all costs associated with, responding to said inquiries, protests, claims, or litigations.

Article 4 Intellectual Property Rights
(1) Copyright for the map data (the data for wide-area maps, road maps, and street maps, as well as related address and coordinate data) displayed on The Service is held by Google (c), Zenrin Co., Ltd., and third parties licensed by either company.
(2) Copyright for rail service information data displayed by The Service is the property of Rescuenow Inc., or of a third party which has been licensed to use it.
(3) Copyright for road map data and road traffic information displayed by The Service is the property of Japan Road Traffic Information Center and of Express Contentsbank Co., Ltd., or any third party which has been licensed to use it.
(4) Copyright for the route map data and airport information (information on sign systems) displayed by The Service is the property of this company, or any third party which has been licensed to use it.
(5) Copyright for the route search data (the Route Search screen and search result output data) displayed on The Service is the property of Hitachi Systems, Ltd., or any third party which has been licensed to use them.
(6) Copyright for data other displayed on The Service, other than that stated above, is the property of Hitachi, Ltd., or any third party which has been licensed to use it.
(7) The user may only view data, including map data, rail service information, road map data, road traffic information data, route map data, airport information, route search data, and station names, (referred to below as “transfer information data etc. for airports”) on The Service. The user has no other rights over transfer information data etc. for airports.
(8) Unauthorized reproduction or duplication of the content provided by The Service (including timetable data), or its processing into other printed, electronic, or other medium, is prohibited.

Article 5  Prohibited Items
 The user must not engage in the following actions:
(1) Use of The Service for commercial purposes beyond the bounds of personal use.
(2) Use of The Service for illegal purposes.
(3) Any action that duplicates, disassembles, adds to, edits, deletes, alters, modifies, or otherwise changes this software, by any method and in any form.
(4) Any action that reverse engineers, reverse compiles, reverse assembles, or otherwise analyzes this software, by any method and in any form.
(5) Any action that transfers, resells, sets as collateral, or otherwise disposes of or licenses rights to use The Service, either free of charge or for a fee.
(6) Any action that intentionally transmits erroneous information or harmful computer programs etc. concerning The Service.
(7) Any action that may impede The Service or any other aspect of The Company's business operations.
(8) Any action that compromises intellectual property belonging to The Company or any third party, including but not limited to, copyright, patent rights, and trademark rights, or risks doing so.
(9) Any action that compromises the privacy, defames the reputation or harms the credit of this company or a third party, or risks doing so.
(10) Any action that violates the law, these terms of service, or public order and morality, or harms the interests of The Company or any third party.
(11) Any action that provides the benefits of the use of The Service to antisocial forces, either directly or indirectly.
(12) Any action that risks becoming applicable to any of the points enumerated above, or resembles any of them.
 Any question concerning the validity of a user' actions in respect to the prohibited items cited in this Article shall be decided by The Company.

Article 6  Disclaimer
(1) The transfer information data etc. for airports displayed on The Service is placed there with due caution and checking, but may not always indicate the optimum route, contain the latest information, be accurate, or complete, or satisfy the user's objectives or requirements. Usage is at the responsibility of the user.
(2) Information provided by The Service is based on timetable searches. However, please note that actual service operation may differ from timetables, due to factors such as traffic conditions.
(3) Alternative route displays may indicate disruptions to services. Please note that search results use standard timetable information, so actual service operation may differ. Contact the transport operators concerned for information about service status and departure times.
(4) Please note that the failure of transfer information data etc. for airports on The Service to satisfy the user's objectives or requirements, or if not fully accurate or complete, The Company shall accept no liability, including but not limited to, responsibility for replacement or amendment of data by Hitachi, Ltd.
(5) Transactions between the user and advertisers through The Service, or between the user and businesses operating other websites linked to The Service, are the responsibility of the advertiser or business concerned. The user acknowledges that The Company provides no warranty and bears no liability for losses and damages sustained through such transactions.
(6) The user acknowledges that The Company bears no liability for any failure or other effect caused by inadequacies in the environment in which The Service is used. The user also acknowledges that The Company bears no liability for any operating malfunctions or other issues caused by the user's operating system and network environment, or equipment or software configuration, etc. .
(7) The user also acknowledges that Hitachi, Ltd and Hitachi Systems, Ltd. accept no liability for losses incurred as a result of using The Service.

Article 7  Service Shutdown and Changes
 The user accepts that The Service may be changed, interrupted, or terminated, in whole or in part, without notice, and that The Company accepts no liability for damages or loss, etc.

Article 8  Information Collected by The Service
User information gathered by The Service does not allow The Company to identify individual users from the IDs of cellular terminals or hardware, handset types, request types, request content, or other information. However, that information may consist of, or include, information which could be regarded as individual or personal.

Article 9  Usage of Gathered Information
 In using The Service, the user agrees that The Company may employ user information for the purpose of tracking the usage patterns of The Service and facilities within the airport, and for the purpose of improving the convenience and quality of The Service, and may provide user information to third parties for their use.

Article 10  Compensation for Damages
 In the event that The Company sustains damages through the actions of a user's violation of these terms, or through dishonest or illegal actions, The Company may demand compensation for damages from that user.

Article 11  General Terms
(1) The Company may amend these terms without prior notification.
(2) In the event that The Company amends or modifies these terms, that shall become effective when they are released or publicized via The Service website or other option selected by The Company.
(3) The validity, interpretation, and implementation of these terms shall be in accordance with the laws of Japan.
(4) The Chiba District Court shall be the exclusive court of jurisdiction in the first instance for any disputes related to these terms.

(1) HyperDia is a registered trademark of Hitachi Systems, Ltd.
(2) QR Code is a registered trademark of Denso Wave Incorporated.
  Other company names, product names, service names, and site names are the trademarks or registered trademarks of the companies concerned, but they may not necessarily be indicated as such (with ®, ™).
